Understanding the Difference Between 0%THC vs Full Spectrum.

Hemp cultivators are required to breed plants with the proper CBD to THC ratio. In the United States, industrial hemp must be less than 0.3% THC to be considered legal. This requires constant monitoring during the growing phase of the hemp plant.

hōlus products are made from only industrial hemp. Our Full Spectrum products are made from hemp and formulated to have less than 0.3% THC in its composition. 0%THC products are made from hemp with less than 0.01%THC. All hōlus products are manufactured from legal, industrial hemp – nothing has more than 0.3% THC.

Cultivators able to keep their industrial hemp below 0.3% THC then harvest compliant biomass. The next step is extraction to obtain the CBD oil to create products. The purest, cleanest products are manufactured with Supercritical CO2 Extracted CBD Oil. Our manufacturer, Nemadji Manufacturing, uses CO2 Supercritical Extraction.

Compliant biomass can contain a significantly higher concentration of THC, which then needs to be destroyed, diluted, or further processed to remove the THC from the oil. It is imperative during these processes to repeatedly test the oil product as it moves through the process to produce CBD Distillate.

CBD Distillate, for full spectrum products:

Some of the other main cannabinoids found in CBD Oil or Distillate are CBC, CBG, and CBN. The more compounds, the more interaction with your endocannabinoid system.

CBD Distillate is made by extracting the CBD from the hemp plant and can be either organic or not. There are several types of extraction processes, hōlus products are manufactured with supercritical CO2 extracted CBD from hemp. This is the lowest cost and the cleanest technology. Our manufacturer, Nemadji Manufacturing, is a GMP-Certified, NASC, and Organic certified facility.

CBD Isolate, for 0%THC products:

CBD isolate is much more refined and concentrated, with a concentration of more than 99% CBD. CBD isolate is a tasteless, odorless, fine white powder, it is not in liquid form, it is not an oil. The CBD isolate can be utilized in similar ways as CBD distillate, even though their make-up is very different.

CBD isolate should be CBD isolate only – no contaminates or impurities. CBD isolate is a great option for those wanting the benefits of CBD, but not the taste or smell. CBD isolate is made by going through further refining than CBD distillate and in the end, it is CBD crystallized powder with greater than 99% potency of Cannabidiol (CBD). By utilizing chromatography, the compounds can be separated and tested for purity.
